Canopy for the Playground

Alhamdulilah our goal to replace our old playground has been a big success! More importantly you will see excited children who play here whether during school and afterschool hours.

We are happy that the children are fond of the playground and this time we want to take steps to preserve it as long as possible. This is why we want to invest in a canopy for the playground to protect the equipment from the sun and rain.

Moreover the canopy will also shield the children from the sun during the hottest hours of the day.

New Florida Standards Textbooks

In 2020 Florida Dept. of Education decided to move away from the common core standards. It was only February 2021, that a decision was made to adopt Florida’s B.E.S.T (Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking) for the 2021-2022 school year. Florida’s B.E.S.T standards have been created by Florida teachers for Florida students.

The standards for ELA have been released in 2021-2022 and we have already purchased the related course material and textbooks accordingly.

And now the Math Standards have been released and we intend to take steps and transition away from Common Core to the new standard.

Expansion to the Tasnim Uddin Building

Since the opening of the full time school in 2012,  the number of students has grown significantly from 23 students to about 120 incoming students. As our school expands we are faced with limitations due to space constraints. In order to accommodate the growing number of students we need to expand our learning area urgently.
